Important Information
Ontario's first accessibility standard, The Customer Service Standard, came into effect on January 1, 2008. The standard states what businesses and other organizations in Ontario must do to make the provision of their goods and services more accessible to people with disabilities. There are some reporting exemptions for small companies but overall the standard applies or will apply to everyone.

January 1, 2012
All other providers of goods and services with at least one employee in Ontario such as private sector businesses, not-for-profit organizations and those public sector organizations that are not designated in the standard.
